The Rotherfield United U8s are a fun, friendly, and inclusive group for boys and girls in school Year 3 who are keen to play football, stay active, and make new friends.

Our focus goes far beyond the game itself. Training and match days are designed to help children develop confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect, all within a safe and supportive environment. Sessions are led by experienced FA-qualified coaches who ensure every child is encouraged, supported, and given the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

The U8s form part of the wider youth setup at Rotherfield United Football Club, which is one of the largest and most active grassroots clubs in the area. As players progress through the age groups, they join a thriving pathway that currently sees two teams competing at U8 level.

Those teams compete across the Berkshire Youth Football League. This strong structure provides younger players with clear progression, positive role models, and an exciting football journey ahead.

Training takes place on Wednesdays, with matches played on Saturdays. Most importantly, the U8s are about having fun, learning new skills, and enjoying football in a welcoming and inclusive club environment.
