As of 2026, the club is proud to be recognised as an England Football Accredited 3 Star Club, the highest level of grassroots accreditation. This status reflects the club’s commitment to delivering a complete and inclusive player pathway for male, female, and disability football. Achieving 3 Star accreditation requires meeting rigorous standards.

Founded in 1973, Rotherfield United Football Club has a long-standing history of promoting youth football within the local community. Over the decades, the club has continued to grow and evolve, establishing itself as a well-respected and forward-thinking football club in the region.

As a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality football training and coaching, the club is proudly affiliated with Oxfordshire FA. In September 2010, we achieved FA Charter Standard Development Club status, recognising our dedication to creating a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for players, coaches, and parents. This commitment was further acknowledged in 2023 when the club was named Oxfordshire FA Club of the Year, an honour that reflects the passion, hard work, and dedication of everyone involved with the club.

The club remains passionate about nurturing young talent and providing opportunities for players to develop their skills and reach their full potential. We currently run 15 youth teams, catering for players from Under 5s through to Under 16s. Our teams compete across a range of competitive leagues, including the Berkshire Youth Development League, Oxford Mail Youth Football League, East Berkshire Youth Football League, and the Oxfordshire FA Youth Invitation League.

Alongside player development, the club is equally committed to supporting its volunteer coaches and club officials through ongoing training and education. We believe investing in our people is just as important as developing our players, and this holistic approach underpins the club’s continued success both on and off the pitch.
